Happy New Year

Happy New Year from DSF Consulting!

This month we’d like to highlight some writing we’ll be doing which will be published in 2014 and will share links to our recent blog posts on the Colorín Colorado website. We’ll follow with a roundup of the clients and partners we collaborated with in 2013 to support English learners and their educators across the nation and the globe.

New Publications

We’re thrilled to announce that Diane Staehr Fenner, Ayanna Cooper, and Special Education Professor Peter Kozik are partnering to write a book on teacher evaluation that is inclusive of English learners and students with disabilities (SWDs). This much-needed book builds from our previous work with the American Federation of Teachers and will be published by Corwin Press.

Along those lines, Diane, Ayanna, and Peter are also writing an article for the Association of California School Administrators’ Leadership magazine, which reaches 16,000 administrators in the state. Our article, which will be published in March 2014, will focus on teacher evaluation that is inclusive of ELs and SWDs, who make up approximately 30% of the California student population.
